With the ending of the first week, we packed our gear and prepared to go to the camp at hatseg. Soon on the way we drove through the beautiful landscape of the Romanian countryside passing signs of closed down factories and old government buildings displaying that communism was not far removed from this torn country. As we met in the homes throughout the evenings we heard some of the stories and details of this era, receiving a glimpse of what it was like living with oppression over a nation. Speaking first hand with those who suffered for their faith was a wonderful reminder of the great God in whom our faith rests. After a few hours of travel had the unique opportunity to stop at one of the most amazing castles I have ever seen. Walking the halls I could picture the round table knights, feasts, and parties that were once, several hundred years ago. Upon coming to the camp that would soon be our home along with multiple children and teens for the next week. Once unpacked we ventured on to see the largest lake in Europe “Raul Alb” that runs just north of the camp. Seeing the mountains stretching high and the rapid flowing water simple declared the glory of the Lord and so we prepared for the teaching we were about to begin!
