Stages of Missions || John - July 16

This morning we had a really special opportunity to be involved with the first step of starting a new outreach; that is prayer! We traveled to a fishing village with the missionary to pray over it. Luke 10:2 says "...The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” We spent time in prayer while walking though the village asking Him to provide wisdom on how to seek the lost in this area. We closed out our time there singing and playing music on the shoreline.This evening was another exciting part of missions! We got to see some of the fruit of the hard labor of missions; the church body! We had to the opportunity to do a service for the youth of the church in the city. Ashley, Seth, and Tyler joined the with some of the youth to lead the group in worship. Following the worship, Tyler, Seth, and Bailey shared how the LORD had been working in their lives and challenged the youth to press on in their walk with Christ. We also played games providing analogies to reinforce what was being shared.  It was really encouraging to be with the young people, knowing we serve the same LORD.
