Miracles Happen || Philip - July 11

Every day is a day to see God at work and miracles happen, but today has been special. On Monday morning as we started our day, we found out that the number of kids registered for Campakids during our final week is low due to parents being afraid of sending their kids to camp due to the recent earthquakes along the coast. Campakids is a camp that is run by our main host, Pastor Benjamin, for children that he works with during the year. For many team members this is their favorite time with the kids because they get to spend quality time with these kids.But God had another idea in store. After Liz and Micah heard this they came up with the idea that we could open the door for children who could never afford to go to a camp. Many of the kids who will receive these scholarships would never be able to even think about going to this camp for a week. After a page was set up to receive the donations, God began to blow us away. In just a matter of minutes the first ten kids were sponsored and camp was going to happen! But it has not stopped there. By the time we went to bed there were 30 kids sponsored. And we are praying for more! We can hold up to 100 kids at camp. Thank you to all of those who have encouraged this team’s faith by donating and showing the love of Christ for the people of Ecuador.- Philip
