Our second day of classes was approaching and I felt even less prepared than I did the first day! The Lord reminded me that this is all His doing and gave peace before I went to bed the night before. When we were debriefing later, everyone expressed that they thought the day went even better than yesterday. Praise the Lord, it is His doing!

Today we taught obedience and that it’s not just doing what we are told, but that it has to be done immediately, cheerfully, completely, and by going the extra mile. Even the teachers were enthralled with the story of Shadrach, Meshac, and Aabednego, which we told to demonstrate that we must obey God over what others may tell us. A lesson on the Ten Commandments, using an egg to represent each command, rounded out the lesson for each of the five classes.

 In our session with the vo-tech students, we talked about forgiveness and through Leah’s testimony and the story of Joseph, we explained the importance of forgiveness no matter how much we have been hurt.

Several of the team had good conversations with students out of the classroom, and we continue to pray for more opportunities and for the minds and souls of these precious children and adults.

Some funny and notable points of the day were:

* Thanks to the raw egg treatment, Nathaniel has soft and supple hair.

* While playing “simon says,” a child who was leading had the class doing the gully creaper and nuh linga: the victory dances their world record runner, Bolt, does.

* “Seriously, I was banging that egg and it was not breaking!”

* Amanda was proposed to by the man selling cotton candy at the intersection: “Do you want some cotton candy?” “No.” “Can I marry you?”
