I am so excited to be part of a ministry to teens in Thailand this October! Please read this page for more info on the team I am traveling with, why I am going, and how you can help.

Why am I going?

I’m taking my photography skills back to the mission field! I will be working with Global Encounters to teach photography workshops for teens in Thailand. This is a fun way to teach a practical skill, but it’s also a platform for sharing the gospel with these teens and helping them learn to share their story through photography.

Why does Thailand need missions? 

Thailand is a beautiful country, with a kind and gracious culture. However, did you also know that it is one of the most unreached countries in the world? Christians only make up 1.17% of the population. Millions of people in Thailand have literally never even heard of Jesus before.

In addition to working with the Thai people, we are also planning to work with Burmese refugees who have crossed into Thailand to avoid the civil war currently tearing their own country apart. Many of these teens have experienced more trauma in their short lives than we can imagine. Some haven’t seen their parents in years. Some have no idea if their parents are still alive or if their home in Myanmar still exists.

Many consider Thailand to be fairly closed to the gospel culturally, even though the country has genuine freedom of religion. However, we have found that the children and teens are open to the gospel and many have responded to the message of a God who loves and forgives them.

Please pray for our time in Thailand. It is an intense spiritual battle to reach the teens and children there. Pray that the teens we work with would know that they are valued and loved by God and they would understand the truth of God’s Word.
