South Asia – March || Alyssa

Definitely one of the most amazing parts of this trip so far has been the food. (Be jealous, really) The flavors and combinations of culture and tradition are unique, but soo delicious. And our amazing hostess, Brianna, made us Banana bread not only once, but three times this week! (We were so spoiled)  But enough about food, even though it was definitely a highlight of the week. Lets move on to how crazy it was being the extra to the two team leaders.Being the extra with the two team leaders.... Where to begin. Well I learned a lot of interesting things. First of all, don't trust them with directions. And when you do get lost- use google maps. (Trust me, I'm alive to tell about it)  Second, when rooming with the team leader, chocolate covered coffee beans are a normal first thing in the morning ritual. (Don't refuse 'em, those things are lifesavers) #WhenFallingAsleepInChurch *cough Lastly, they will do many interesting things in order to communicate to someone who doesn't speak English. "Um- we need 12 rolls of toilet paper and the store is closed. Uh-go ask the front desk!..." "Um... I NEED 12 rolls of toilet paper."  I'll just let you imagine the rest of that conversation. (Charades were involved)Now I am with these two special leaders at the airport waiting to pick up the rest of our team. Even though they're quirky, they really do care about us and about the people they come in contact with. So far, it's been amazing being able to just hang out with these godly examples. (One week down, three to go... Oh boy)Alyssa IMG_0015 IMG_0014 IMG_0013 IMG_0012 IMG_0011 IMG_0010 IMG_0009 IMG_0008 IMG_0007
