South Asia – March 30 || Robin

After long layovers and days of traveling, all four groups coming from Florida, Ohio, California and Canada finally connected in Yangon--with ALL of our personal and team luggage I might add. Praise the Lord! Having heard so much about last year's trip to South Asia, I was so excited to be a part of the team this year! However, I really did not want to have expectations, except for the Lord to be at work. I did not know what to expect when we arrived at the orphanage, but it was such a joy to see the expressions of uncontainable excitement on the kid's faces as we arrived at Living Waters. They remembered the GE team from last year and were delighted at their return. Some of the kids were even proudly wearing their colored team bandanas from last year, and many had their crafts still hanging by their beds. It was so encouraging going into a week with the kids to know that last year had a lasting impact.After introductions, we sang "All In All" and afterward they sang it back for us in their language. It was beautiful to hear their voices resounding throughout the room! Though we started off with a few team members getting over being sick, (I am being told) it is cooler than it was last year, we have an amazing team of translators, and the kids are so respectful and engaged. I am looking forward to the rest of the week here with these sweet kids!Robin
