Verbos verbos verbos! || Day 11 - Aria

Verbos verbos verbos! Verbos irregular! These are the words we hear over and over in class. As we pound the 120+ verbs into our sleep deprived brains slowly but surely we begin to understand things! I was able to comprehend a entire conversation!! It's all finally beginning to come together! We were so blessed to be able to work with the orphanage over the weekend and put our limited Spanish to use. As we grasp conjugating the verbs John and I are figuring out how to teach games and lessons in Spanish! This is amazing! This is why we are here. Each class is really enjoying learning, even with the dreaded massive amounts of homework, the I-have-just-been-teleported-to-another-universe feelling you get during class, the wide eyes and shocked expressions you get after class, the stumbling through what you are trying to say to the shop owners and the market vendors. I think I can say for the team this is totally crazy AWESOME!So Liz was scheduled to leave today, but her flight was canceled. I have to say we all had mixed feeling about it. We didn't know whether to jump in the air and yell and scream or dance around and yell and scream. I think we did a bit of both. To celebrate, we went out for tacos and walked all over the face of the earth trying to find the restaurant and then after asking several people finally found it!!!! And it was closed. So. We went for Italian pizza instead and walked around the little city shops until the late hours of the night. (Yeah and we WERE quiet tonight Richard!!! We can't help it if our room is overflowing with awesomeness late at night!)Yep.So our Spanish continues, Liz is happily stuck here for an unspecified amount of time, and it's a miracle smoke is not pouring out of our heads.Crazy life AWESOME God!Aria/Oreo/whatevertheyfeellikecallingmeLang team out!
