[A Glimpse into a Photography Group]

Wow! What a fun, awesome, terrific, and incredible week! These kids were so great! Sure we had some times where they weren't listening and wouldn't respond. But they were learning and hearing about the Word of God. By seeing their pictures we also saw that they were listening to the photography lessons. Their pictures were great and I was so proud :)  We had a special session this week and included a lesson about photography. They loved taking pictures of each other. So teaching them about posing, lighting and applying the other photography elements to their portraits was really fun! As we taught about the basic portrait "to do's" we also taught them about story telling. We wanted to be sure that they were getting the point of that portraiture tells peoples stories. We gave them specific assignments to take pictures that tell peoples stories! Their result was really neat to see. People's stories were seen through these kids pictures!Since it was the last day we and we were already in town we stopped by and got all the kids some ice-cream! Group picture was next and as you can see we kind of like each other and like making funny faces!IMG_4403This week I was really able to become close to the four boys on my photography team. Luis, Alejandro, Pancho and Isaac were all so sweet and loved taking pictures! My broken spanish, their broken english, and a constant game of charades made our communication really fun and entertaining. We laughed and learned a lot together. I really do love these boys.IMG_4416Last night the group at the camp made a special dinner for us. There was delicious food and some fun dancing! There was also crying. I had boys crying in my arms because they didn't want us to go. My heart was just breaking. I didn't want to leave them either! I know the Lord did some incredible things! There was a boy who accepted the Lord as his Savior. All of us on the team became closer to each other and closer to Jesus! Saying goodbye is hard but it is good. Because if it is hard that means that you developed a deep and beautiful relationship with those people. Praise the Lord for relationships! These children are precious and I will miss them like crazy! I am praising the Lord for all He has done this week and this whole trip!God Bless Y'all!-GraceIMG_4406
