[07.29 - Monday] Unpacking & Switching Gears
Today was a rest & clean up day after our trip home yesterday. We didn't do anything particularly exciting, but it was a nice change of pace. We unpacked the food and bedding barrels and went through the med supplies. The vehicles got a good cleaning and the trailer got cleared out as well. The washing machine was constantly running. Some of us were on kid duty for a good portion of the day as Nathan and Julie had a date day. We watched Cinderella, played badminton, and painted rocks and wooden butterflies with the Terrell girls. In the afternoon many of us went into town for an hour or two to do some shopping. We took a taxi downtown and back. Around 3:30 we went on a team hike up the mountain behind the Terrells' property. When we reached our destination - a pretty field of wildflowers and sunshine - we stopped for an hour or so, had a snack, and opened our hearts to each other through prayer and testimonies. It was a great time to get to an even deeper level of knowledge of each other by hearing what God was doing in each life. Afterwards we came back home and had a little driveway bonfire. We roasted hotdogs for dinner and once again popped out the Pringle cans. It was a simple but productive day which God gave us to enjoy.- Lauren
