[Louder than Words]
Actions speak louder than words, and yet a picture is worth a thousand of them.Undoubtedly, to watch the whole team relentlessly pour out their hearts for these children, and persevere by giving their time in service to the church, is more that anything we could voice in our finite Spanish vocabulary. For many here, a word is more than just what exits our mouth. It’s also the smile on our face. It’s the gleam in our eyes. It’s the pep in our step. It’s all of this that conveys the message of the gospel. And then there are the moments captured on film. The things that our eyes only see for a moment can be captured for a lifetime in a picture. And every emotion you felt in that instance can be recalled whenever you encounter that photo. This is a blessing that is often overlooked. The power of photography is a beautiful thing. These past couple of weeks, my favorite activity is to take pictures of the children, and then show them the image. It’s exhilarating to see their faces brighten, and to watch the ice break.
