Brain break!

Saturday, February 12It's amazing how trying to think in another language can totally exhaust your brain and leave you feeling like you have tons of pent-up energy at the same time. So, we decided to take care of that problem today. Brain break! Our break took the form of exploring some cool ruins, marveling at stunning waterfalls (which, of course, had to be climbed), drinking coconuts, and (for a few) swimming in the icy river (the fearless quartet included Nathan, Jacob, Mandy, and me... oh, yeah!).ge021211-9We thoroughly enjoyed having Steven, Grace, and Gabby along with us. They are our mission trip buddies from many a past GE trip. However, we very much missed Rachel who stayed back with Julie to try to recover from her sprained ankle. We were grateful to see her up and around with only a slight limp by Saturday evening. It has been a refreshing day. Now for church tomorrow and then back to the brain work.Elizabeth, for the teamChiflon - it really was this gorgeous and moreThe soaking wet option for viewing the waterfall: as close as possible.Mandy, together you and I are going to conquer the world going... that way?ge021211-1ge021211-8ge021211-7ge021211-14Many thanks to Caitlin for all the amazing photography on the blog!
