Trains, Flower Blossoms, and Air Mattresses From The Lord
After tossing and turning all night I awoke to the sunshine gleaming through the curtains of my kupe (pronounced koo-pay). As we placed our feet on solid ground we were still swaying from side to side. After about thirty minutes we unloaded ourselves and our luggage at the Zaparozhe train station where we met Scott Sobie.
We got in the bus and drove for about an hour and half to the Sobie’s house where we met Mrs. Sobie a wonderful lady who is making me fat with all the good food she is making.
Later that morning we went with Mr. Sobie to their ministry center in Balki to participate in an English class that Mr. Sobie teaches. The kids there seem very excited to be learning a new language and they were even more excited to have Americans to practice on. Some of the kids that we met there will be coming to the camp that we are doing at the church.
After lunch we had a team meeting where we discussed the Lord’s work for this next week. What a great time for my mom to be reading this! (A little shout out for you Mommy!) Then some of the youth from the church that we will be helping during the camp came over for dinner and fellowship type thingy. We played games, talked, got to know each other as best as we can without understanding each other. Then we had a time of prayer, singing, sharing, and more good food from Mrs. Sobie. For some reason my pants are shrinking.
Then as part of the team sat up and talked in the living room I laid my head down to rest and promptly fell asleep upon a huge air mattress which was from the Lord. I appreciate you taking the time to read the words that I have expressed in a manner which thou probably cans’t understand. The Lord bless thee as He has blessed me and my wonderful team.Tomorrow church will be awesomelike a flower blossom, toiling about, making me shout to the Lord.Amen.
