Happy woman's day
Today is a national holiday here in South Africa- a holiday that celebrates all women. Somehow the guys managed to find a flower for each of us girls in this very desert-like place! We feel so loved. :)"God is God, no matter what." Pastor Life was sharing with us about prayer as we sat under the canopy of millions of stars tonight. If God doesn't answer the way we think or within our time line, God is still God. This holy, awesome, Creator of the universe condescends to communicate with insignificant people like me through prayer. While we were discussing the various elements of prayer with the young people here, I was reminded once more that prayer is essential in the Christian life and especially in any ministry. For me, this time of testimony was the highlight of today.Earlier this afternoon, we were able to do a kids program in Mavhusa (the village where we are staying). We started by walking through the village and collecting all the kids on our way to the school. After about 15-20 minutes we all ended up in a classroom ready to begin. The kids are extremely energetic and passionate. It is fun to watch them get so involved in all the activities. The crafts, stories, games, and skits were all focused on salvation today since this was our last program with these children.I watched the most gorgeous sunset tonight. It was just one more way that God said "I love you!" today. By far, Africa has the most beautiful sunsets.Amazed by God,Laura
