Bound for Zoque!
Today the team packed and set off for Llano Grande, about a 4-hour drive. What a beautiful country the Lord has made. The mountain ranges are breathtaking! There were rockslides blocking parts of the road in many places.
We got there and had our first outreach, drawing in about 15 children and a few parents. We started with duck, duck, goose. Then we did the Shiny Lures skit, about self-control. Then we had a craft. They made their own fish and hook to remind them of the consequences!
We then went back to our stakeout and hung our hammocks and made dinner on a wood stove. Boy, it sure makes you appreciate your stove back home! We were all taught patience as we waited for it to cook!Hannah and I walked down the road a little ways to get a better view of the countryside. A candy truck pulled over. Seeing that we were Americans, the driver started talking in English. He lived in South Carolina for 6 years, and has been back in Mexico for 2 years. So we invited him to meet the rest of the group and talked for 2.5 hours! We had some good laughs and shared with him what we were doing. He shared with us Mexican candy. Mmm, very good!Praise God for the opportunities we had to be a witness to those around us! And thank you all for your prayers!-Pete, for the crew

Driving to the jungle.
So the streets of Chiapas were not exactly made for... well... driving? Especially with a trailer. That scrape in front of the Pathfinder was the 7th time the Yukon cage bumped ground.
Passing soldiers along the way.
The team stopped along the way in San Fernando. This is near a construction site where the Terrells have a project going.
