Brothers in Christ

Sunday, March 08

Steven and Ps SalazarWhat a privilege to be with brothers and sisters in Christ! Today we attended two different churches. What a warm welcome we received! At the first church, Krystal and Steven shared a testimony and Pastor Salazar preached. They had wanted us to sing… but we would have sounded like a bunch of frogs so we skipped that experience!

Following the service some of the church people took us around the corner to a small bakery, where they served us coffee and croissants.  Ps S and Ps WThe people here are so warm and giving… it’s such a joy to get to meet so many people, we just wish we had more time to get to know everybody!  We weren’t able to spend much time there because we were supposed to go to another church.Elizabeth shared a testimony and Pastor Welde had the sermon at the second church.

After church the pastor and a few other people from the church took us out to lunch to a small Italian restaurant. What a treat!  Following a delicious meal, we went to an outdoor market. There were many little tents with lots of trinkets, souvenirs and other such stuff. church spireWe had fun browsing around. Almost everybody bought something. After we were finished shopping we went up on a rooftop and looked out over the city. It was a quiet peaceful spot in the middle of a busy city with a beautiful vista of mountains on one side and the city on the other.

We went back the hotel to change and have devotions then decided to go to the mall to Crepes and Waffles, but unfortunately it had already closed so we grabbed a bite to eat somewhere else. Our time here has been wonderful and it’s sad to think that soon it will be over. Thank you for all your comments and prayers.

Amber, for the team.

Ps Salazar Preaching

Pastor Salazar preaching a sermon on character. Even in Spanish we enjoyed watching his dynamic preaching. He has opened so many doors for us here in Bogota and we are grateful for all of his work planning ministry projects and making arrangements for us. It is a pleasure to work alongside his ministry.

Krystal’s Testimony

Krystal sharing a testimony while Pastor Salazar translated.

Goodbye to Pastor Jorge

We said goodbye to Pastor Jorge tonight. He is a friend of Pastor Salazar's from Peru. We have all enjoyed getting to know him and were sad to see him go. We also said goodbye to Pastor Welde, who will be flying back to the US tomorrow.
