First Night of the Kid's Program
Monday, June 9
Today we got to sleep in! Woo hoo! Elizabeth and Daniel went to a meeting with about 15 pastors while the rest of us stayed back to prepare for the seminar. A quick little shout-out to “crafts team #1” (Loriann, Kaytra, and me). The preparation went pretty well… at least my team had a lot of fun making pipe cleaner creations. Flowers, glasses, bugs… and… um… my very uncreative tree. Later on we were off for the first night of the seminar! It’s really awesome when all of the team gathers in a circle and dedicates the night to the Lord. I really think that’s why the seminar (as a whole) was successful. When a group of people gather together before the throne of God and give their all to Him, I believe that He will move.
We taught about God’s design for us. The main story was about the camel and what a story it was! Daniel was telling about camels and John was the camel. I think the funniest part was when Daniel was telling the kids about the came eating and… um… enjoying the food a second time. He shoved two granola bars in John’s mouth, then John spit it back out into Daniel’s hand, then ate it all again. Yuck! Funny, but still yuck!
We finished off the night with a pizza dinner. I tell you what, they have some straaaaange pizza down here: corn, little French fries, and heart of palm. Hey, it's actually pretty good!
Well, that’s all folks! Te amo! Signing off fromArgentina,
Adrian, for the Team
