His Glory In Typhoid

I noticed my stomach was bothering me a little bit but I didn't think it was major. As I took some time to spend with the Lord, receiving from Him, He highlighted this specific verse in my mind from Psalm 41:1-3:[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][mk_padding_divider size="29"][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/2"][vc_column_text css=".vc_custom_1548961314993{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}"]
"Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him; the Lord protects him and keeps him alive; he is called blessed in the land; you do not give him up to the will of his enemies. The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health."

I reluctantly decided to stay in bed, knowing how much fun it was going to be with the children that day. As the morning went on, I felt more and more sick and I was started to feel very dehydrated even though I was drinking a lot. I don't think I have ever felt that bad in my life. Finally, I made a call and found a hospital that would admit me. My sister, who was also not feeling well, was with me.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="24169" img_size="large" style="vc_box_shadow_3d"][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/2"][mk_padding_divider size="10"][vc_column_text css=".vc_custom_1548960855840{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}"]After exiting the taxi and getting onto the elevator at the hospital, I told my sister, "Here's my passport. If I pass out before we get there, please tell them to give me an IV." Three IV's and a bunch of tests later, the doctor came in with the diagnosis. He said he was 99% sure I had typhoid fever. I didn't know how dangerous typhoid fever was. I was provided some medicines and my symptoms began to improve.[/vc_column_text][mk_padding_divider size="15"][vc_column_text css=".vc_custom_1548960810743{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}"]At the time, I was unaware how many people die from typhoid fever. Later on I was told by a lady that I was the first person she ever met who had survived it. Another person informed me it that it took him two weeks to recover.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=".vc_custom_1548960941888{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}"]By God's grace, I was 100% back to normal in three days. God had raised me up from my sick bed. The verse God gave me that morning gave me the strength and faith to know that He was in charge of the situation. I also discovered that the news of my illness had spread. Hundreds of people back in the USA had heard that I had typhoid fever and were praying for me--even unsaved family members were praying for me! It was a neat opportunity for my family to point them Jesus Christ. I thank God that He is in charge of all things and able to guide us and fulfill His purpose even in suffering. Perhaps the Lord allowed me to be sick just to show His miraculous power over disease and to get the attention of many others who needed to know Him who is our Life. I am very humbled and grateful.
Praise the Lord!
