This month, Alayna sends us a postcard from India.Favorite Memory: It was towards the beginning of our trip, and I had gone outside after lunch during our break. Several of the children came right up to me and wanted a picture together, and even though we couldn’t really communicate in words just feeling their love and seeing their smiles was so special!Favorite Meal:  Fresh coconut milk straight from the coconut that they would bring us on breaks. (I liked a lot of their foods, but I honestly don’t remember the different names!) One thing you wish you would have known before you went:  It will be a stretching experience, but it is 100% worth it!Don't leave the States without: Prayer. It is extremely encouraging to know that people have and are continuing to lift you up in prayer while you are there.Don't leave India without: Doing henna, trying on a Sari, shopping in the chaotic markets, and taking lots of pictures! The biggest thing God taught you: He is faithful for each day and all circumstances. In my weakness He is strong. Why should someone go to India: India is very different from the States. I believe it’s so important to get outside your comfort zone, see the poverty, see the need, and share Christ’s love that reaches beyond any language barrier. See how the body of Christ works throughout the world. And be blessed by being a part of it.[/vc_column_text][mk_padding_divider size="20"][vc_separator color="black" style="dashed"][mk_padding_divider size="20"][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/3"][vc_single_image image="23825" img_size="full" alignment="center" style="vc_box_circle_2"][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width="2/3"][mk_padding_divider size="30"][vc_column_text css=".vc_custom_1515250269777{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}"] Alayna resides in Texas and is a seasoned traveller with Global Encounters.
