Reflecting on God's Faithfulness || Sarah - July 30
We got to sleep in a little bit this morning, which was nice, and then got to work repacking our suitcases. That took some time. =) After everything was packed, we went to a waterfall on our way back towards the airport.At the waterfall, we split up into small groups. Some of us walked, or in my case - ran, up lots and lots of steps to get to a lookout where we could see the waterfall. It was gorgeous! I have never seen a waterfall that tall before! The guys went further up to the top of the waterfall, while Lydia and I stayed behind and went to the halfway point of the falls after resting for a moment (the climb was very tiresome). I got go up to a spot fairly close to the middle of the falls. It was misty up there and the view was absolutely gorgeous!!From the lookout I could see two rainbows, I was reminded of God's promise to never flood the whole earth again. The rainbows also reminded me of God's faithfulness. He continually showed that attribute throughout the trip. He has proved Himself faithful multiple times.After that amazing experience, everyone headed down and swam in the river. That was really fun! Then we continued on towards the town near the airport. When we finally got there, it was dark. After getting checked into our hotel, we went to a restaurant and had our last Mexican meal - burros. I also got to have horchata for the last time. We had to say goodbye to two of our Mexican friends there, it was bittersweet.Throughout this whole trip, God has been working on my heart and drawing me closer to Him. I can't wait to see where He leads me in the future.
