Teaching Humility || Daniel - April 06
Today was bomb!!! It was so much fun. Even though I was exhausted, the kids helped me to keep going.Today's lesson was on humility and working together. We did an obstacle course with the kids to show that you need to humble yourself, listen to your partner, and work together. After playing that about five times, I thought it was time to take a nap, (even though it was only like 10:30 in the morning). I also realized that I have never had so much dirt on and IN my body EVER!We did a skit for the kids and everyone thought that I should be the prideful king (even though I had just taught a lesson on humility). After that, I thought it was definitely time to take a nap.We ate lunch and began the next part of the day. The lesson was on communicating and working to together, so we did a 12-legged race with two teams in each group. I mean, come on, what better way to teach communication than tying a bunch of kids together and telling them to run in circles.In all, I think I've run about a marathon in the last 3 days. I also have never drunk so much water and still been thirsty. I really miss ice cream, sitting on the couch, and having easy access to a toilet anytime, anywhere. But it is still super fun and I love it.God is working! The kids are really sweet and super receptive. He is teaching me a lot about trust. He wants me to trust him always, even when I really don't feel like it. It's really easy for me to get busy teaching kids and forget to stop and take time with the Lord myself. Please keep praying. We love and miss you all.And now, I'm going to take a nap!
