Ecuador - July 22 || Danny

Today, was our second day in Esmeraldas. We are all super excited to be here, and for those of us that have been here before, excited to be back. It was so good to be able to see pastor Luis and his family and Church again. They have been blessing us with amazing food and good fellowship. In the morning, we went back to the school El Salvador. It was awesome to get to see the kids again. That school seemed really open to hearing about God and got very into the stories. A couple of the music people got together and played with one of the teachers after the lesson time and we had a blast. The teacher said that he had never been able to play with a group before, and he was very thankful to us. Definitely a highlight of my day. After the school we got to go to Rocafuerte, a small, poor town outside of Esmeraldas, that we had been to last year. Getting to go there again was a huge blessing. The town is very poor and dirty, and the kids are as well, but something about that place just pulls on my heart. Some of the kids have obviously never experienced love before, and being able to show them love in how we act and what we do, makes all the dirt, heat, and discomfort worth it. We had a massive turn out of kids and had a blast with them telling them about salvation and God's love for them. After along drive back to Esmeraldas, we had dinner with the church and heading back to the hotel for some much needed preparation and sleep. Please pray that the kids would continue to be open to what God has to say to them, and that we, as a team, would also be open to what God has to say to us.
