Ecuador - July 20 || Michaela

Sometimes changes and subtle and take you by surprise. Other changes you see almost immediately. The trip from Quito to Esmeraldas was one of stark contrast. Quito is a huge bustling city. People walk with purpose to work or school. As we traveled closer to Esmeraldas, we passed many tiny villages. Most of the time, the residents were eating, talking, or working together. The lifestyle seemed so much more laid back. But there are other changes not so pleasant. Driving through Esmeraldas, we saw children alone at night and very poor neighborhoods. Through all of this, God reminds me that He loves all people. It doesn't matter if they look or live different. He wants all to come to repentance.
