Hello from Chiapas

Today was our first day in San Cristobal! We're enjoying finally getting to know each other in person! We started our day by going to church at the orphanage in Teopisca where we'll working during our middle week. Everyone got to start practicing their Spanish as we interacted with the kids and had a sermon in Spanish about our foundation in Christ and His unchangeable nature. Perfect reminder for us as we head out for our first week of jungle ministry tomorrow.After church we returned to the house where we got all the ministry supplies, food, cooking gear, water filter equipment, stove parts, and med supplies organized. It is a huge job but many hands made light work! Tomorrow we head out to the Tojolobal area of the jungle, spending our first night at Plan de Ayala. We'll return Friday night to San Cris.Blogs and pics from our jungle week will be posted when we return.
