07.23 Monday - Last night in the jungle

Maria Morelos/TiobojonToday  we did a kids program in Tiobojon. A lot of kids showed up and their parents too! We had a clinic at 2 different churches in the same village because the denominations of the churches will not associate with each other. A family from the church made us pork and onion soup and homemade tortillas (pork is used only for special occasions). After lunch we moved to the other church to do clinic. We got to practice our Spanish on the people waiting on the doctor and some of the team members got to pray with the people coming to the clinic. To end our visit we did a skit for both churches who came together at the basketball court. On the way back to Maria Morelos (where we're staying) 4 of us got to ride "Mexican style" on the outside of the vehicle. Being our last night there, our host killed another turkey that had been waking us up every morning at 3 a.m. and prepared a soup for us.-Hannah
