God is in Control of Changed Plans

Last night at devotions, I told the team that you never know what's ahead in the jungle. "A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." We are also aware that we are opposed by a defeatable but opportunistic enemy at every step. This morning we had planned to be in the Tojolabal jungle starting water filter work, children's programs, stove work, and other projects. However, I am writing from a junkyard near the Terrells' home in San Cristobal de las Casas. We did not plan to be here. About 10 minutes into our journey, as we were rounding a left curve in the Yukon, a small car came zipping around the bend and collided with our trailer. The trailer tilted up at about a 40' angle from the impact and settled back down. The small car had substantial damage to the front and the front passenger, who was apparently not restrained, hit the windshield and suffered some type of non-life threatening injuries.I am deeply grateful to report that nobody on the team - 11 of us plus Nathan Terrell and our translators, Steven/Grace Curry and Gabi Ozuna - was injured. Nathan drives a sturdy GMC Yukon, and we in the Yukon did not feel a big impact. (The Pathfinder, carrying the rest of the team, was not involved.)Most of the team is now back at the Terrells' home, and we will likely switch to construction projects at the Terrell home for the near term while we sort things out. Please pray for:- the passenger in the small car.- the changed ministry of the team.- Nathan Terrell, who has to deal with the various ramifications of the accident. We don't understand what this chapter is all about. We do, however, know this: "My soul, wait thou only upon God: for my expectation is from Him."- Christopher Schweickert, for the team
