Newsflash: Earthquake in Lima

Wednesday, August 15Many of you friends and family members back home may have heard about the 7.9 earthquake near Lima. While we DEFINITELY felt the quake, we are totally fine. It was one of those rolling earthquakes where the ground seems to move in waves. Most of the damage that occurred took place south of Lima. We didn't see any damaged buildings in Lima itself. Sections of the city were still without power when we drove back to the hotel from the children's program and we have heard that there is some damage in other parts of the city, though it doesn't sound severe. Huge thanks to all of you who started praying for us when you heard about the earthquake. The Lord protected us and took care of us and the shaking didn't even stop the seminar for the evening.Elizabeth for the Team
