A Day of Rest

Friday, August 10. After a long week of early mornings and late nights, we took a day to rest and relax. Some of us took the opportunity to explore the nearby markets, but most of us just slept in.

Peruvian streets

At noon we all piled into the bus to see a Peruvian show that included dancing horses and a Marinara dancer who performed with the horses. Afterwards they allowed us to ride the horses and take pictures with them.

Dancing horses

Directly after seeing the horses, we went to the church to sing for the adults’ seminar (no children’s program tonight, since we will be going all day tomorrow). We sang two songs in Spanish and one in English. Also Elizabeth gave a testimony about surrendering to God. Afterward we went and played with the Peruvian children that were there, providing balloons and music.
